The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Mount Rainier National Park, Washington. August 2017.
*Side note added later, this photo was taken at the place where we scattered my brother's ashes. The scenic beauty of the spot contrasted with the somberness of the occasion, and it felt really surreal. With this picture I attempted to capture both the beauty of the place and the sad, unreal feeling of it all at that moment in time.
